Class One have been enjoying learning through a range of experiences and activities. This half term the children have learnt about the Polar Regions and the Bronze Age.
In Art, Class One have learnt how to hold their brushes correctly and explore different water colour techniques.
In Numeracy, the children have been using physical resources to discover and balance number bonds to ten.
The Year One children have been learning how to programme bee-bots around a maze by giving all the instructions at once.
A classroom shop and restaurant opened to provide opportunities for the children to explore and use money in a variety of ways.
Within Science lessons, Class One have learnt about the different polar animals and how they are suited to their habitats.
The whole class went on an investigation around the school to locate naughty 2D and 3D shapes that had escaped from shape prison!
Class One were asked “Where is the sun at night?” to explore their scientific ideas. The children physically became the sun and earth to discover what happens.
